First games are this weekend, hosting UIC, Richmond, and West Virginia Friday-Saturday. Let's take a look at what we may see this weekend/season-

    Projected Lineup
C- Kyle McCann, JR, .300 Avg.
1B- Tristan English, JR, .279 Avg.
2B- Luke Waddell, SO, .283 Avg.
3B- Oscar Serratos, SO, .311 Avg.
SS- Austin Wilhite, JR, .249 Avg.
LF- Chase Murray, JR, .343 Avg.
CF- Nick Wilhite, JR, .155 Avg.
RF- Colin Hall, SO, .283 Avg.
DH- Michael Guldberg, SO, .368 Avg.

SPs- Xzavion Curry, Andy Archer, and Connor Thomas.

What do y'all think? Look about right?

Just don’t see enough hitting or pitching in that lineup to think we will be much improved.

My two favorite teams are TECH and whoever's playing Georgia.
Michael Guldberg, SO, .368 Avg. should be starting CF. Nobody with a .155 BA should be starting, especially in the outfield. Nick Wilhite, JR, .155 Avg., whose batting average hung around .130 for most of last year, should not be a starter, imo.

Connor Thomas has been named the Saturday starter. Tristin English will probably be the Sunday guy on the mound.

Nick Wilhite had a rough season last year on offense but he is a phenomenal defender. He pretty much locks down center field.

My biggest worry is on offense. We don't have a ton of proven power in the lineup outside of McCann and English. If Radcliff improves on last year he may be a huge asset at DH/RF

Fielding is only half the game. If a player can't hit, he should not start. I've seen Guldberg play CF, and he can lock down center field well enough. If Hall starts Nick Wilhite in CF again this year, it will be a detriment to the team.

Radcliff batted only .175 last year and literally struck out 50% of the time. He was inserted in RF halfway through many games last year, and again, was only a detriment to the team, as he was not a good hitter, either.

Two proven starters plus English finally getting to pitch and a solid option at closer. Depth is still an unknown, but probably the best pitching situation we’ve had in over a decade.

Just got home and couldn't get in car. Heard McCann's HR. Who else got one? It's 5-0 now.
