the game was never in question. We mailed it in. If the tarheels had converted one of those touchdowns, we would have picked it up a notch and won anyway.

The difference between the bad teams and the good teams is getting smaller, throughout college football. To snowball one of these bad teams reggie has to hit the homerun ball. If we had done that I think UNC would've laid down.

While it was frustrating to not open up a gap, unlike most games this year I was never worried about this one. On the rowing team, we normally won by only 1/2 a boat. We only rowed as hard as we had to.

I was there as well..it was ugly but we'll take it. No energy in the crowd or either team, in my opinion.

One thing I think is being overlooked, and it's not really. BS. I was sitting in the South stands (the same side as Tech bench) and it was at least 15 degrees hotter than the UNC side (which was in the shade). I'm not overstating when I say it had to be in the mid 80's on our side..and the Tech players really looked beat. I don't think they prepared for THAT in November..but if you were there and saw the players barely walking off the field between possessions you'd agree.

BTW, there really isn't much talent difference between the two teams (and we don't have a big runner like McGill--he's a load). Better coaching (barely) won out.

That's what the ESPN Gameday crew were saying about UNC, that if/when Butch Davis comes in, he'll have a ton of young talent to work with, especially on the defensive side.

For those who were there, I've never been to a game at Keenan, but watching on TV, all that Carolina Blue begins to hurt your eyes after a while. Is it that bad when you're there, or is that just my tv?
Maybe that's why we played so poorly, all the players eyes were hurting...

I got cooked. beautiful weather for a fan but hot in full pads. It was funny watching UNC's team take their time outs on the edge of the shadow from the pressbox. Early time outs they were way over on the sidelines and by the end they were about out at the hash marks.

We were in Chapel Hill last year on graduation weekend for some reason. The baby blue color was everywhere....the only thing I've ever seen worse was all the orange in Knoxville on a football weekend.
