How has your outlook or expectations about the Virginia Tech game changed? Are you more or less confident about the outcome now than you were in August. I frankly thought VPI would have a couple of losses by now--Alabama and Nebraska for example. And I really thought (think) they had been doing it with smoke and mirrors for a while now. And yet they continue to win, so you have to hand it to them. That said, before the season started I really felt this one would be a win, playing in Atlanta and all, and given our wretched history with them. I still think we win, but I admit, I thought we'd be favored. Beamer has been able to become a media darling. We haven't gotten there yet, but a win Saturday would be a big, big step.

I am more confident with our offense and less confident with our defense.

Overall, I am less confident, but I wouldn't be surprised if we won.

I agree that a win against VT would be a big step. But if we lay an egg at UVA, it will be just as big of a step backwards.

I honestly feel better about this game than I did against FSU. FSU was incredibly pumped and we saw the best quarterback and WR combination we will see all year. I know our defense has to play 100 times better than we did the last two weeks; however, we do have something they don't have... CPJ. I know why we rave about him and are so happy to have him. I believe that CPJ will have the D playing better this week and I can't think of a better coach to have for motivating and coaching our boys... thought we would be 5-2 or 4-3 after these first seven games then only lose maybe one more, but I believe that a 6-1 record is ours for the taking :)

I was one of the few who had respect for VT all the way, even though everyone else was saying they would suck this year. They have been winning crucial ACC games for a long time. They are always favorite as long as they are not playing someone from top 5.

I thought we would look better than we did in the first 3 weeks though, also I didn't expect the defense be this bad.

Well, I think that VT's defense will be more effective than FSUs. Foster will actually have more of a plan than "get out there and kick their arses".

I think the Offense is weaker than FSUs so both teams should not post basketball scores like recent games.

I think the key will be, can we get to Tyrod and disrupt his passing? Without losing contain and letting him run by us.

Before the season started:
I thought we'd put up at least 24 and that would be enough to win the game.

After Miami:
I thought we'd put up at most 24 and that would not be enough to win the game.

Now:
I think we'll put up at least 35 and that might not be enough to win the game.
