The 2nd Sentence in this article (IMO)is the beginning of our string of problems with our FB program.

If this hadn't occurred we would have had ANOTHER heisman contender and the if's keep on a coming. Wasn't our field in pretty bad shape that game? I know that it is immaculate now but I recall him just making a cut and the field breaking loose. Worst moment in Tech FB history in the last 10 years(IMO).

Don't remind me, it still hurts to think about that terrible day on the Flats (but we beat BYU that that day). I spoke with some coaches at Twiggs County High School during the playoffs last year at Lincoln County, and they said Hollings was a one in a million player. He was the best back he had ever coached, better than Jo Jo Cox who recently signed with Clem-son.

I also remember that night after the game it rained like a monsoon and ripped my flag pole off my camper. I guess it was a sign that Hollings would never be back.

Also, that game was was the last time the "GT" was painted on the 50 yard line at Grant Field. I say put it back there.
