Big Boi will perform with the Georgia Tech band at halftime during the Jackets’ game against Virginia Tech on November 1st. Outkast played Gainesville once during our tenure at the University of Florida, ending their set with the announcement “Honey dips! All you honey dips! We in room 413 at the Holiday Inn. Come holla at your boys!” If Big Boi promises to invite all the ladies in the crowd to his hotel room on national television, this will actually be close to being worth purchasing a ticket to watch football coached by Chan Gailey.

Ah, the heaviness of Pantera... our D has the hair to rock with that guitarist. I'm sure some people would rather have Toby Keith. And some others Linda Ronstadt. And some others The National. And some others KC & the Sunshine Band. The question: What performer would be the absolute best for GT football recruiting?

wha wha wha.. big boi is a GREAT halftime choice as we are trying to lure in the younger crowd for the future of GT athletics. You know..sell out the stadium..

Yeah, we've been through this before (and I agree, BTW). I only posted it to tweak GeeTee. And it only took a matter of minutes.

sad commentary that we have to have techwood entertain the crowd at halftime to sell out our stadium don't you think?

Yea, it's a little gimmicky.....

but it's also edgy and cool, neither of which you would normally associate with Gt.

It's also about reaching out and being part of the community. We wonder why the city of Atlanta and the state in general doesn't support us more....well a big part of it in my opinion is that we don't see ourselves as part of the greater community. This is a step in the right direction.

And if I needed anymore proof as to how out of touch you are . . . there it is.

Have you actually been down Techwood recently?

OH NO BLACK PEOPLE ARE INVADING GEORGIA TECH!!!!!11!1one!

beej67,
sickened by the reaction

I can't wait to see Big Boi put on a halftime show. I think what we usually get is craptacular. I won't miss the usual rendition of Jefferson Airplane or some horrible take on Ironman.

Given a choice, I would bring in FAMU band at halftime. That is a show. If not, I would settle for some of those giant Japanese drums (taiko?).

I was actually hoping for some Judas Priest at the half.

Breaking The Law
Hot Rockin'
You've Got Another Thing Comin'

that would get me pumped for the second half.

That would please the midtown residents.
