Big East really crowing about killing UGa

at their conference 'Media Days'. It truly was a big W for W.Virginia, but my goodness, the League was only 1-3 in the Bowls. The Conference Commissioner & HCs sure are riding that 1 victory to all their preseason hype about the Big E.
Thank heavens VT clobbered Louisville 35-24 in the Gator & NC St blasted S.Florida 14-0 in the Meineke Car Care. Rutgers got dumped by Ariz St, 45-40, in the Insight.com. Here's a look at the East's bragging;

I won't take up for UGA much, but they are an elite program - period. They don't need to catch anyone in the country off guard to win if they prepare.

WVA deserved to win, and they are on their way to greatness as well, but they are not on the level of UGA, LSU, and Auburn right now. Neither is the rest of the Big East, which deserves respect - but not as much as they are claiming.

The Big East is simply doing what they should - which is taking advantage of the bragging rights they did, in fact earn, when WVA beat UGA. They should milk it for every bit it is worth.

Still - UGA is no one to mes with on any day. That - on top of the hate - is another reason it means so much to beat them.

WV needs to crow. If UGAg had won that game they'd still be over on the WV boards rubbing salt in it. Hell, they have a 5000+ viewed post right now on the Clemson scout board smacking their program.

Hard to believe the mod has not locked that thing yet.

I hate to pull against the ACC, but I was certainly pulling for Louisville in the Gatro Bowl against VT, expecially after Vick tried to injure Elvis Dumervil's knee. Too bad the chips fell where they did last bowl season, if VT had beaten FSU in the ACC title game, we likely would have been in the Peach or Gator Bowl, and maybe the guys would have shown up come bowl time.

This is the year that the team has to get over the hump though, no questions asked, no excuses.
