Re: How do you guys see our personel complementing

and I do not even think he has the first step or elusiveness for that.

Re: How do you guys see our personel complementing

My only point was not quarterback. I certainly don't know if or where RB can help us next year. I just hope it turns out that he can, in another role.

Re: How do you guys see our personel complementing

I don't see a major change in the offense next year. Going to a Spread with RB is a major risk. Chris Leak and UF struggled most of the year with this new offense. Mixing in some new formations and plays sounds good, since the O will be experienced and could take on some new things. But a major change to something completely new could backfire.

Re: How do you guys see our personel complementing

I love it. Everybody complains about the offense we were running. So now it appears we're going to try something different and we're afraid of change?

Reggie has actually don't better when we've spread the field most of the time. He made a bad pass against State and a bad pre-throw read against ugag. But we moved the lengtht of the field in about a minute in both cases. He may not be able to handle the changes, but he may just surprise us. I don't think we'll see him at anything other than QB next year though.

Re: How do you guys see our personel complementing

I think any offense that keeps Reggie from just dropping back in the pocket and passing where he can't see would be a big improvement for him. Also, his legs are a weapon and he needs to use them. He could do that in the spread. Now the reading thing would be tricky.

I thought Whitehurst at Clemson did a pretty good job in their spread and he wasn't greased lightening. I hope Garner could run it equally well.

Reggie needs to watch Woodie Danzler films at Clemson and aspire to be that type of quarterback. Its his only chance to be successful. Two reads max then pull it down and haul ass. Of course he'd have to quit trying to run over the tacklers every play.

Re: How do you guys see our personel complementing

Or, maybe we should have him run kamikaze every play so he'll get injured and we have no option but to play Garner.

Re: How do you guys see our personel complementing

Not a very kind thing to wish for considering you are talking about someone who has given his all to GT for 3 years now. Blame the coaches if you want for either not developing him further, or simply finding someone better, but don't wish the guy gets injured...

Re: How do you guys see our personel complementing

Another wortless post showing a lack of understanding what his involvement in the new offense will be. Don't you think you should save your bashing until after you've seen how it all works out?

Re: How do you guys see our personel complementing

Some people really should be ugag fans.

Re: How do you guys see our personel complementing

Try using some of the cartoons when you go above pie in-the-face humor. Unfortunately, there is nothing to denote tongue in cheek humor.

Still, bodily harm comedy is taboo. (Well, only when it refers to one of ours)

Best bet is to use emoticons when you're joking or being sarcastic. Those things just don't come through in this medium. Sorry to jump you but it wasn't clear you were joking. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif

Re: How do you guys see our personel complementing

No offense here guy. Not a doubt in my mind that you wish nothing but the best for RB, nor do you want him injured. I can say this because it's my left handed flippant humor that keeps me in the hot seat. I'm just glad to see someone else in there now. Good job Smackem!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Re: How do you guys see our personel complementing

It's just that offhand remarks and injuries to student athletes don't make for a good mix in the same sentence. No one wants to see a player injured.
