This is a game that legit has the potential to turn our program around. Everyone is dumping all over Tech. We’ve had 3 consecutive terrible seasons, etc. However, winning a nationally televised game against a top 5 opponent would give our program a level of buzz that it hasn’t had in a long time. The players would gain much needed confidence, the coaches would earn some goodwill with the fanbase, you’d have something to sell to recruits. It’s a MASSIVE opportunity all around for our program. Odds are that we don’t win… I get all the reason why. But that’s why you play the games. Our guys need to play their asses off and leave it all on the field. Lets make 2022 the springboard year to achieve all of the things CGC pitched when he first took the job.

LFG Jackets!! New year. Nothing matters except 2022.

If their offense can stumble out of the gate and we force a turnover or two I think we have a chance.

Because the inarguable truth is that we have sucked for the last four years. Clemson looked like they MIGHT be on a downward slope last year. A lost to us to start the season would likely confirm that. It sure as hell won’t mean Tech is suddenly very good.
So you’re just pre-loading your spin on a possible Tech win without even seeing the team play?

I have the Atlanta Constitution from that game, somewhere
My brother and his roommate was there; they said the bama fans were very classy after the game, congratulatory and said GT deserved the win.

This is why people think GT fans suck. Because a lot of GT fans really do suck.
