Blocking on QB draws

Great double-team blocking on one of the QB draws. Two TECH lineman just literally blewout the Guard at least 10 yards downfield and Reggie used it as a wall to run behind until his speed took him past them. I would have liked to see the linemen pile drive the defender it the turf.

Reggies speed + good line play + naked reverse (Vandy game touchdown) + fake reverse rollouts + slants to TE = opportunity to sustain drives = more points = winning big games

There are probabably at least 6 derivatives of the above theory that can be run to both sides of the field = 12 plays.

I don't want to see this gimmick stuff. If GT wants to get out this middle of the conference funk we're in and gain some real respect we need to line up, tell 'em we're going to stuff it up their backsides, and run the ball straight at 'em. We can't do it and it kills us on short yardage and in the red zone. I'm tired of this crap!! We need a smash mouth O line and a real running game.

Dodd would have used the Belly Series which was a derivative of the single-wing. He would fool bigger defenses into finding who had the ball and where it was going. Mis-direction is part of the game. Smash mouth teams like Alabama hated to play Dodd because he was so good at predicting how to fool the other guy.

Nobody does that LongforDodd. Unless you're maybe Ohio State, you can't just line up and run over people. It doesn't work that way.
