Blue chip recruits

It's actually a pretty interesting article for those competing for NC's. But what about those just competing for a top25? Does the the BCR ratio still holdup? That would be an interesting study.

NIL and the portal will jumble this ratio a good bit. BC players will get frustrated with playing time and/or the pay scale and jump at will as I see it. Of the schools listed, many above the 51% mark have not been relevant in the NC picture for a decade or more.

in 2022 ours was 24% (20/83)
The Talent Composite estimates this BCR closely (the difference is that TC includes transfers with their high school ratings)
30% is probably enough to be top 25 most years if coaching, experience. and development were all equal.
I hope our BCR will start rising in the 24 class.

Using the link above we should go 7-5 this year.

Bud Elliott also won the Vegas Super Book contest in handicapping college football games, hitting something like 63% ATS in college last year. And he took TCU to win the Big 12 in the pre-season at something like 28-1. Obviously, that bet lost.... but damn if he wasn't on to something. He finds all these little diamond in the rough bets too that you'd never think to look for: like Stetson Bennett over 18.5 rushing yards in the national title game. Guy does his homework.

By that link our talent level is 724 compared to Louisville which is 638, yet they are favored by 8.5 points in Atlanta.

The Louisville game will be interesting, both coaches taking over for their alma mater as HCs for the first game of the season.

I personally hope the only thing interesting will be that storyline heading into the game and the Yellow Jackets pound my alma mater into the ground.

Life long Tech fan, so Go Jackets!
