...The UMD game was his first calling it from the
box and we ran up 485 yards of offense and moved
the ball pretty well, despite the loss.

Then we smoke UVA in the first half of his second
game calling from the press box.

I'm thinking that BoB up in the box gives him a
better view of what is happening and forces more
communication between the coaches during the play
calling.

BoB in the box and Gailey on the field has produced
better offensive output.

I couldn't agree more. I think he's more comfortable up there and the results seem to show that.

We're beginning to see some good things with AJ as well. My biggest worry about BOB has always been related to his QB coaching...IOW, I wondered if he could coach a QB anywhere near as good as Fridge. The answer is "No, he can't." But he might be able to do good enough to win in any event. AJ is starting to make better decisions and he's getting more comfortable in this offense.

As long as we avoid turnovers and special team screwups, I think we have the team to compete with NC State. My biggest worry in that game is the line of scrimmage (our DL vs. their OL).
