Corso picks FSU. Bob Knight was a guest in lubbock.

They didn't really talk about GT at all when they previewed the game. All they said about us was that we "could play a little defense." They talked about FSU and whether or not they're back. They also ripped on the ACC some more.

So when is that sissy Swofford gonna step up and defend his conference? I dare say Roy Kramer wouldn't have let this happen. Swofford needs to get his mug out there and fight this perception of things. The ACC has as good or better OOC record vs. D1A teams. We just don't have the marquee team or two that the SEC, PAC 10 and Big 12 have. Yes, we're down in that sense, but still a very good conference, and every bit as good as the SEC except for UA, UGAG and UF. There are plenty of good teams to test FSU in the ACC.

I wish it wasn't true, but it's hard to argue today that the ACC is among the best conferences. The ACC and Big East are clearly the bottom tier.

The fact is that the ACC has not even sniffed a national championship since 1999. In that time, the Big 12, Big East, SEC, Big Ten, and Pac 10 have all had national championship teams. And to say that the ACC is as good as the SEC if you don't count Alabama, Florida and Georgia may be true this year but is not exactly high praise. It's saying that our entire conference is as good as the bottom 75% of the SEC. Seems about right.

ACC has only had ONE school win a NC in the last 18 years. Nobody else has even been close.

I do, however, agree that the gap between the top conferences and the ACC is exaggerated, especially the SEC. But, that's because the SEC has more fans willing to spend more money on everything, so everything is slanted toward their dollars.

What can we do about this? Beat Georgia. Let's beat their asses a few times and then talk about how good our conference is.

How does playing conference games prove how good your conference is? You are a ****ing moron.

I really don't understand what this question of yours has to do with my post.

You are a ****ing moron.

And from what I can tell, you have no friends so you post on this site a thousand times a day, and it's never insightful or interesting or worth a damn to anyone else. I am not a moron, but I would rather be a moron than be you.

Now shut up.

Ouch !!! :wow:

While early in the year the media got down on the ACC, and rightly so, after the wins by Bama, ECU, and MTSU, perception is turning around ever so slightly. Now some of the commentators and analysts are talking about how "crazy" the ACC race is this year. Yes, we have no top 10 team, no one competing for the national title. But, we have a lot of pretty good teams. NC State is the worst team and Duke next. But, the other 10 teams are pretty good, not great. Top to bottom, I say we are better than Big East and Big 10 and on par with Pac 10.

There were only conference games played today by the ACC. You don't understand this? Like I said, you are a ****ing moron.

My post was just about why the ACC is not regarded as a top conference, and nothing I said had to do with interconference play, today or any other day. I really don't know how anything you have said is responsive to my post. But, you did call me a "****ing moron" so I can't help but remark on your posting history. It seems to me that very few people here appreciate your posts. Maybe you should just move on, get out of the dorm a little.

And here's some free advice: I know that it hasn't worked out the first hundred times you have tried it, but why not leave the computer and try again to get a girlfriend? Who knows, tonight might be the night.

Tech finally beat FSU. Maybe GTKyle can finally kiss a girl.
