More timing routes because it cuts down on the decision making with QB and WR.

Kirbee,

I think that's a given. Understand we haven't got it done in the passing game yet. Sometimes I wonder if fans understand how hard these coaches and players work in game planning and preparation.

No offense, but Coach O'B just stated "more" timing routs. He didn't say that's all they would do. To suggest they aren't concerned about what the other team is doing shows very little confidense in them as players and coaches. Maybe you don't have any confidence. I don't know.

It's a given they need to pay attention to what the D is doing. They scout and prepare hard.

actually, heard some of B O'b and I feel a little better about the game.

I have been VERY down on the coaches. Based on the interview it seemed that Billy knew he really came up short last week. That is GREAT news! Denial could be the worst thing at this point.

If Bilbo plays I think it immediately makes us a better team. It will give AJ a few breathers to keep his head together.

This is the big one. I hope the players watched what we watched last night and KNOW that there is an opportuinity to have a VERY SPECIAL YEAR THIS YEAR.

I'll have to see Bilbo play before I can make a judgement on him. If the coaches didn't think he was ready, then that's enough explanation for me. It'll be interesting to see what they do with Bilbo in the UNC game.

Go jackets. Beat the Tar Holes.

I think what is coming out now is that Bilbo may have had a let down after the clemson game and did not practice well.

So because of that the coaches took the hardline (probably correct) approach of if you dont work hard during the week then you AINT playing.

It appears that Bilbo has been working hard now and will get some snaps.

This finally makes sense. I could not understand why he would not be playing. This NOT READY crap made no sense. But if he was lagging in practice that makes complete sense.

Hopefully, this will help our offense.

Depends on what is meant by "not ready." Being not ready can mean that he didn't do what he needed to do to be prepared to play. We aren't giving the coaches the benifit of the doubt sometimes.

Think about this:

You only have four practices between games that last around two hours a piece. It's very difficult to get a second QB ready when the first QB needs so much work in practice to get ready ala AJ. Last year we should have been able to give the #2 guy some snaps as Godsey did not need near the week to week prep time that AJ needs at this point

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">I agree completely we DO NOT give them the benfit of the doubt. We see poor play we want the other guy to get some snaps.

Sometimes coaches have to do what is in the TEAM'S best interest in long run.

I hope this causes the offense to look better.

Law, That sums it up well. It's good that we want our team to perform at the highest level.

I thought we were bad after the CU game and even the BYU game. Wonder if we'll ever be to the point of the FSU fans? hehe

I've gotten into reading that board today. It's really entertaining.

Those of you who heard please help fill in the gaps.

Play calling...after watching the film there was some things he would have done differently.

Execution at QB spot needs to improve. Coaches know this. Suggs knows this.

BOB didn't notice the booing as much as others. Suggs is tough and mature enough to handle it.

Why did DBo not get in the game when Suggs was struggling? A lot of preparation has to take place during the week at this level to be ready to play. DBo needs to understand this. He wasn't ready to play last week. He is ready this week and will play. When? He wasn't willing to say. Coach BOB knows he needs to do a better job getting him ready.

Not all the offense in installed as compared to last year with Godsey. Maybe 85%. They've simplified things to help the QB's, both Suggs and DBo. They've added some things that Coach Gailey brought from his experience in the NFL.

ACE impressed him because when Hollings went down the first time he was right there ready to go into the game. The coaches didn't have to go hunting for him over at water cooler or bench.

Ford is going to take some time. Maybe 5 weeks to see action?

Hatch is having problems getting back to form in terms of speed.

Clinkscale is in the game plan for this week.

OL has played well. Blake impresses the coaching staff when watching films how he battles and hits his mark.

More timing routes because it cuts down on the decision making with QB and WR.

The young men have a lot of heart and toughness in dealing with the things that have gone on. "Resiliency."

The defense is playing really well.

Thanks for the good report. It's nice to hear a coach "fess up." Let's hope that the staff is continuing to work out the kinks in the system.
