In a recent video GT put out, they showed a clip of Bobby Dodd kicking to our punter, Pressley Harvin.
I thought you guys would enjoy the full video.
Also, we apparently drank Coke during games back in 1953!

The punt return at the 5:00 minute mark looks an awful lot like a certain kickoff return on a very foggy November night in 1985.

I enjoyed that. I bet the south end zone was a rocking place in that horseshoe. They were building the Wardlaw building in its place when I started at Tech.

The stadium shots brought back memories:
-As a kid I sat on the sidelines for one year.
-Then got promoted up to selling peanuts in the south stands.
-Then enjoyed games on the track bench and stands just behind til I graduated.

There are AP photos of this from the Duke game sometime around '51-'53. I can try to dig them up tonight.

Ps Dodd could still kick it pretty good!

Legend has it that Dodd would set up a folding chair near the one-yard line and demonstrate to the players how he could punt 40 yards ---and hit the chair often.

My dad, IM '50 said the players always said Duke was the most physical team they played back in the day.
