Boe Tufele becomes commit #21 for GT

Georgia Tech received a surprise visit and commit this weekend from Boe Tufele. Tufele marks the 21st commitment of Georgia Tech's 2017 class.

Tufele is a 6' 3" 310 pound offensive lineman out of Harbor City, CA (Nathaniel Narbonne HS). Tufele is a lineman and he'll be evaluated as to which side of the ball he will play.

Tufele also had offers from Hawaii and Illinois.

What exactly is a surprise visitor? Did he just show up? Or is it a surprise because Quinlan didn't know about it?
 
Or perhaps the guy contacted our staff to set up a visit ... seems like that would also count as a "surprise"
 
KQ means it was a super secret visit that only he knew about but he didn't want to say anything publicly because it might have screwed things up but now that other people have reported on it he wants everybody to know that he knew about it first and kept quiet and the people who reported on it should be ashamed of themselves and he's not living with his mom she's living with him.

Story on one of the sites said we cold called him relatively recently, and we were his only official visit. Like, he got a call Friday morning and was on a plane Saturday morning.

Might have just grabbed him for academics and measurables as a long shot to fill roster space. Hard to say.

KQ totally lives with his mom, but the basement has a hot plate and an exterior door so he looks at it like it's really just an apartment.

I know, right? How terrible of him to do things that give him a competitive advantage.
