Boise State beats Nevada 69 to 67

Good God!

What an atrocity of defense.

Nevada averaged over 8 yards per play and lost.

Say what you will about defense, but that game was a lot of fun to watch.

Man, wished I had turned it on. I gave up at 58-51. Can you imagine if we hired a coach who gave up 50 or 60 occasionally?

You know, though, someone like O'l, the defensive genius, has given up 52 and 62 to ECU and USF the last two weeks. So, I guess it could happen to anybody.
We already have one. Have you forgotten 51-7 parts one and two?

My boss said Tech's 51-48 win over UGA in 1999 was the best Tech game he has ever seen.

It was a good one! Before we moved our seats a couple of years ago, our seats were right on the goal line where UGA fumbled in overtime. I screamed "FUMBLE", no one around me believed me, when it first happened I didn't believe me.

Great Game!

A lot of truth there. That game sent my wife into labor and our son was born about 36 hours later!

It was commonplace then for our defense to for Joe Hamilton to have to throw for 4 quarters and keep putting up points. We always had to pray we got the ball last.

There will never be another Joe Hamilton....he was special.

The trifecta of '98 - '00 was indeed a great time to be a Jacket. I'm still partial though to 1984 and the 35-18 whipping of 'Georgie' that I witnessed (as I've repeated on several threads) from club level in Athens. Man did that stadium empty when Vince the Prince elected to let Butler kick a FG with the score 35-6 midway through the 3rd.

If anyone knows where I buy or borrow or download (preferably without having to figure out BitTorrent!) a video of that game, I'd be much obliged. That was indeed a special game...
