Boss Ross..............

Do what? I was/am pulling for both of them. My issue with George is a personal one not a business one. I got an email from their OL coach and a kid i love to death.

You need to stop reading in to things and take my post for what it was.

Sorry, you are right, I am a little frustrated with the Hive. It seems everyone over there is the biggest Tulsa fans all of a sudden. Even if you dont like GOL, how can you not want Goose and Key to win a league championship.

That is one pretty big misrepresentation there sir

I have been perusing the Hive pretty regularly (probably more so than you do as I'm also a mod over there) and I have seen VERY few posts suggesting people are rooting against UCF for any reasons other than personal ones. For example one person said he's rooting against UCF for reasons of an internal/family grudge. In fact that particular poster went out of his way to say "Of course, I'm a BIG fan of Goose."

So your post is at BEST a misrepresentation of the Hive community. VERY few are even discussing the UCF game and those who are seem to be very clear about how they don't dislike UCF but that they are not fans of George O'Leary and are being critical of his defense or posts like that.

Personally I am rooting FOR UCF. I have nothing against GOL other than wanting the money back that he owes us. He signed a contract that said he would pay GT $1.5mil if he wanted to get out of the contract and I thought I saw that he and his attorney's have worked out a payment deal with GT so eventually we will get it back (at least I thought I saw that, I could be mistaken).

Re: That is one pretty big misrepresentation there sir

You are right, I guess it is just too personal for me. All I see is posts bashing their defense and how they are giving up points "to Tulsa no less". Just seemed to me like if it is going to be on that board they should at least mention the fact that Goose and Key are on that staff and that they've had an amazing turnaround this year. I didnt see anything even giving them props for that.

I didnt mean everyone on the board, I meant everyone on the posts referring to that game. Thought that was pretty clear.

ATX, I can understand it being personal for you and as far as I'm concerned I am not crazy about all the venom I see periodically here and on the Hive for George O'Leary. My memories of the time he spent at GT are good ones and I'm not so blind as to see that there could be a better job out there for some people than the GT head coaching gig. I didn't hold it against Bill Curry when he left GT for 'Bama and I didn't hold it against George when he left GT for ND. Nor did I hold it against Bobby Ross when he left for the San Diego Chargers (hey, notice a trend? Those guys all left GT for pretty big name programs and the NFL so folks aren't leaving us for no-name schools).

Anyway, what made your post so difficult for me to interpret was that what you said was:

[/ QUOTE ]

Those words seemed very clear about classifying the entire board community over there into one big bunch of George O'Leary haters who can't even see that they are rooting against two very well liked GT players who are on the staff there.

I am very happy that my interpretation of those words was incorrect and I appreciate you clearing that up for me.

Coach Bobby was one of the best. He came in and worked his tail off and won us a NC. The man has my respect. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drink1.gif
