Fumbles Lost: GT-2 UNC-0
Interceptions: GT-1 UNC-0
Punt avg: GT-34.0 UNC-44.8
FG's : GT - 0/2 UNC- N/A
Penalties: GT - 4/40 UNC - 3/15

We played decently on offense and defense, but those season-long bugaboos; turnovers, penalties, and special teams, killed us again.

We'll never be any better than a 6 or 7 win team until we take care of these areas.

Come on man. We're going to beat Miami and have at least 8 wins this year, maybe even 10.

Pretty disgusting, I think UNC had two penalties on their opening drive which they overcame and then only had one more for the whole game?

I heard Wes say that CPJ was pretty angry that procedure was not called on their last TD play, did not see that one but Wes did comment on it.

They also didn't call the hit out of bounds on Dwyer ino that critical drive either. They were getting very benevolent spots all day long.

They certainly didn't cost us the game, but the Tobacco Road Mafia was present today. I imagine they really want UNC in the ACCCG. I don't think we would have won ahd we played a good game.

Please guys, let's not point a finger at the refs for this one. This was our biggest loss of the season and even favorably calls by the refs would have resulted in a loss.

Bottom line is... UNC played great today and we simply lost to a team that was better prepared for us. Our offense was very inconsistent and you can see that by the number of yards we racked up and the number of times we scored. Our offense drove down the field but sputtered right outside of Blair's FG range.

One pattern that I am seeing is that our defense has problems with tackling a good offensive back.

VPI - Couldn't overcome Tyrod's mobility
UVA - Couldn't tackle Cedric Peerman
UNC - Couldn't tackle Shaun Draughn and Ryan Houston

Hate the UVA loss more boys! Today should have been our 2nd loss on the road this season. That home loss was the killer for our ACCC hopes.

Don't know if you are addressing me, but I specifically stated that they didn't cost us the game.

UNC played great? They did nothing after the first drive until we started handing them the ball on our 20 in the 4th quarter.

UNC played a good game. We played a good game, except for ST's and penalties. 330 yards rushing is nothing to sneeze at, especially with how our OL was gettign owned much of the game, and how many they were throwing into the box.

It's a loss... we get over it and go on.

If we can do this with a barely servicable OL, and a gimpy QB, imagine what we'll do next fall better at every position, and with a year under our belt.
