..of the cheerleading/yellow glasses/ posters to start their spin talking about how great everything is.. watch out for them bc they're fun to read.... now, they have to not only defend continual 5 loss seasons and top 25 no shows, but also they have to defend a coach who doesn't even want to be at GT...

Crank 'em up... :p

I'm not going to defend anyone. I, for one, was hoping that he was leaving. But, I will support him next season because I want the football team to succeed. I hope that he brings in a good OC and a win over Ugay is expected or I will be the first one calling for his head.

Didn't you already start a thread that indirectly bashes Chan due to the Miami/Cameron situation? Why another one of the exact same nature?

I agree with you. I was kinda hoping he would leave but will still support him next season and support the team no matter what!!

I'm sure you want CCG to leave now that he's playing with a full deck of cards, so to speak. He actually has a chance to prove you wrong.

um, ok... he hasn't proved me wrong since he's been here all these years now has he? ..oh and he had probably the greatest player on his roster that we may ever see at GT, too. So, he is suddenly going to be all that next year because...why???

He hasn't had a full roster any year since he's been here. This past season is the only season in which he hasn't had to start a true freshman at any position (going into camp - I realize we ended up starting a FR corner). More specifically, our offensive line is finally getting to the point where we're not starting FR and SOs (and the depth has experience and time in the program as well).

But you're such the fan, that you know all of these things already. But I'm sure I'll get the "Durrrr...we've lost 5IAR to Georgia....my neighbor makes fun of me..." type answer.

How did it feel to type that?

We differ on what makes a good season... you like what we get year after year and think our current path is good.

I don't.

I'm not sure Gailey is ever playing with a full deck. He is a PE major from Florida after all.

The bottom line is if you hire and fire based upon success against UGA (esp. when our roster is down 10-15 scholarship players) then you WILL run the program into the ground.

We will beat UGA under Gailey (and soon). He has a more competent AD who seems to give him (and us) 100% support. The program is heading in the right direction in every imaginable way - it would take a moron not to recognize at least some part of the momentum that's being built.

how about also hire/fire based on not making the top 25 when prior to the Gailey hire, tech was in the top 20 for three years running? ..or five losses or more seasons each year under Gailey?

Gailey gave drad the golden handcuffs this year with the Coastal Division win. Good for him the ACC was as down as it has been in years!

Next year, we'll have a similar season as EVERY year with Gailey...mark my words. Wonder what the wait till next year crowd will come up with then?

I agree, we should expect more this coming season (and I expected more this past season, but I wouldn't ask for his head based on 1 season of not meeting reasonable expectations). With a roster full of JRs and SRs, strong on both sides of the trenches (depth and experience), and hopefully a sound QB - we should compete for the ACC-C and beat UGA this year. There are no "excuses" this year.

Sure, CB. Next year about this same time you will be making the same bull**** excuses after another year without an ACC championship, UGAy win, or top 25 ranking.

I'm not like you. I can adjust and change when it's necessary.

That's rich. I've adjusted and changed plenty. You obviously haven't paid much attention, dumbass.

Oh GeeTee, how wrong you are.

in 2001, year before Chan, we finished 24th with an 8-5 record.

Yup, that's 5 losses (same as this year), and 8 wins (one less than this year). Funny how that works out. Oh, and we lost to UGA that year too. Such a downward slide...right?

We also lost Goose and Joe Burns after that 5 loss 2001 season, as well as that QB who transferred to Delaware.

I'm not sure how Gailey was supposed to make magic happen in 2002 with that situation.

Don't forget Kelly Campbell too. Our top 3 offensive weapons gone (and record setters at that).

Ok, you've gone from a mild dislike of everything related to Gailey to a full hatred. My bad.
