think about this. You are 77 y/o and make 2mill+ a year. You hire your son against school rules. They have jr. "reporting" to another coach to get around the nepotism clause.
Your son BY ANY ACCOUNTS was performing poorly for YEARS. You refuse to fire him.
THEN when it is on the verge of you being forced out you make the U that YOU LUV pay your son an extra 500K or his salary to 2012. His contract is up in August.
Lets face it when you get to 77 y/o there may be a FEW of us that our elevator is not going to the top floor. I understand that.
When my grandfather got to be ~75 y/o the family took the Truck keys from him b/c we were worried he would hurt someone or himself.
I don't expect a 77 y/o man to be able to do the right thing but HIS FAMILY should "take the truck keys" away from this guy.
Well even if the family could NOT reel in BB for them to "snatch" another 500K from a public university when they already get 2mill is just unbelievable. When Bobby does retire/quit/or get fired the AD and the Pres should be given their walking papers as well. IMO
