the Orlando Sentinel has projected Ga Tech vs. Nebraska for the Tangerine Bowl. Hopefully they have some inside information

Yep, the Orlando Sentinel picked up on GT Ace's thread from yesterday & took it a step farther by projecting Ga Tech vs Nebraska for the Tangerine Bowl trophy.
If anyone should know the Tangerine Bowl it would be the Orlando Sentinel & if anyone should know GT's Bowl path it would be GT Ace

Put both together & voila GT-Neb in Tangerine.
Orlando Sentinel tabs GT for Tangerine

I would love a NU-GT match-up in Orlando, but where did you see this info? I have searched the Orlando Sentinel's web page and have found nothing more than their bowl projections at the end of October, which has GT staying home.

Also, the AJC tomorrow says that UVA has jumped ahead of Clemson and GT for the Tangerine Bowl. It also mentions a bunch of other possibilities like the Sun Bowl and the Silicon Valley Bowl. I'm not sure the AJC realizes that all 6 ACC bowl slots must be filled (with 7 win teams) before another 7 win ACC team can go outside the ACC slots and that no 6 win ACC teams can go elsewhere.

Here's tomorrow's article:

AJC - Tech & bowls

I think it has been reported that the Seattle bowl is trying to make a swap with another bowl regarding the ACC slot. If we do not go to the Tangerine or Charlotte bowl, that is how we could end up there. I also have heard no bowl can take a 6-6 team over a team with a winning record at least for the final bowl slot. Therefore, in the unlikely event of a Wake win over Md (Navy assumed) and a Clemson loss to SC, Clemson would stay home. If not the final bowl slot, I don't know about the 6-6 over a 7-5 record.

This mornings projections from CNN and ESPN have Tech in the Continental Tire Bowl in Charlotte vs. West Virginia, NC State in the Peach vs. Tennessee and Virginia going to the Tangerine. Clemson might be left at home, which is where they belong.

Who was going to Seattle? Of course Clemson's game against SC is big for them. Wake probably will end up at 6-6 with a win over Navy and loss to Md at Md. If both end up 6-6, then who knows.

RamblingBuzz,
I put the link in for U up above,'Orlando Sentinel tabs GT for Tangerine'.
Also, out of your linked article to the AJC, Continental Tire Bowl Coordinator, George Johnson told the Roanoke Times "We're not counting anyone out right now, BUT a West Virginia matchup against maybe a CLEMSON would be an EASY GAME for us to MARKET to our viewers".
CT Coordinator is all but hitting us over the head with the idea they are going to take Clemson. Ergo, the Tangerine has decided on GT. If Clemson loses, to finish 6-6, the the CT Bowl may be forced to take Virginia & a Virginia-West Virginia game may generate some of those fans traveling, but not like a Clemson-WVa game would.

The rule is a 6-6 team can't go to a bowl unless that bowl has a conference tie-in or WTTE. Sounds like the bowls are working hard to get around that by signing 'backup agreements' for secondary tie-ins in the event that the original conference(s) cannot fill the bowl slots.

Well, the rules aren't concrete, remember last year there was a 5-6 team in a bowl game, so don't be surprised to see a 6-6 team this year.
