Bowl Rankings

it may be a bigger game for WVU if RR takes the coaching job at Bama. His swan song, if you will..
 
I don't get it. The Peach is the ACC's second bowl, it's supposed to be rated higher. Besides, this is the order in which Mandel is interested in them, nothing else.
 
Mandel has never been a fan of Gailey as evidenced by him writing a Sports Illustrated article ranking Gailey as the #1 worst coach in America. So, this bowl ranking doesn't surprise me.
 
Stewie's rating matchups and not exactly bowl quality.

For example, the Boise bowl is certainly far down on the order of prominence, but last year it had one of the better matchups in BC vs. Boise State.

WVU vs. GT would actually be a pretty good matchup if we didn't have such a bitter ending to our regular season. On paper, it matches strength vs. strength (run offense vs. run defense) and weakness vs. weakness (pass defense vs. pass offense).

I'll take our defense against anybody, and if Chan can get his players up again for a game, I'm looking forward to a good game.

I know who Howie Mandel is Gator, however didn't know he was hosting a show named "Deal or no Deal".

I was just ripping on this SI Mandel guy, because I had never heard of him prior to his mention on this board earlier this season. Called him Howie as a gesture of disrespect towards him. :biggthumpup:

Ah ok, well please blast away. I hate this mandel guy on SI, he doesn't know what he is talking about.
 
Gailey is clearly not one of the top coaches in America, but for Sports Illustrated (Mandel) to vote him the #1 worst coach in America last year was peculiar. If he is a Gator, then I would think he'd have no grudge against GT.. maybe one of our foreign exchange students dumped him somewhere along the road of life...
 
Only 4 non-BCS bowls pay out more than the Gator...and not by much.

I looked at the bowl lines in Friday's paper and GT is the only ACC team catching points,all the others are giving. Wonder what that says about GT?
