Many of the items that Coach Rodriguez indicated had not been fulfilled under terms of the contract are minor, such as sideline passes and minimized charges for certain privileges, while others, including raises for members of his staff are more significant.
Of interest will be the key legal determination(s) regarding the university's efforts or lack of same to mitigate these claimed shortfalls in terms of to what extent they impact the standing of the overall agreement vis a vis true materiality. For all we know, Coach Rodriguez may have verbally waived some of them, said nothing or carried on in the understanding that they would be fulfilled at an unspecified later date.
As I recall, UM took the WV hoops coach just a while back (with a negotiated and reduced buy-out), so maybe the thought of not so big Blue using their head coaches as a farm team has reached a truly aggravating point for them.
Wow, the sure must have some mighty fine legal minds over there @ WV!
