Boy, would Virginia like to replay the Colo St game?

They fumbled into the endzone while going in for the winning TD with less than 30 secs left. If Hagans holds onto the ball the Cavaliers are now 7-1 4-1 & would certainly be inside the top 20. With the strong schedule they have left (GT, Penn St, NC St, Maryland & Va Tech) they would be playing for a BCS Bowl in every one of those games. 12-1 could easily put them in a BCS Bowl with that strength of schedule, but even 11-2 would unfortunately delegate them to the Gator Bowl. They'd probably like a redo on this game more than GT would like a redo on Clem, WF.
Virginia is the surprise team of the ACC. Virginia, Maryland, NC St is going to be quite a round robin for the Gator Bowl berth. Sound systems, sound players, sound alumni coaching. All 3 of these teams are recruiting well & will be challenging for the ACC for, at least, the next 4 yrs. Ga Tech had better find high gear with the football program or the YJs will be a perenial Seattle Bowl team, at best.

You've got that right - this game could come back to haunt us if we don't make a bowl.
