He plays both ways...TB and LB. He is a fierce LB that attacks with his motor running 100% of the time. He is athletic enough to play TB in high school, but his running style is not like that of a true TB...he runs tall.
He will end up being a 6-3, 235 LB in college that runs like the wind.

you have to have some power, burst, etc. to run hurdles.

Thats why if I am Patrick Nix I would like to try him at runningback.....if he is agreeable and we have more depth at linebacker than in the backfield come 2007 or 2008.
I haven't seen film of him but he sure appears to have all the physical qualities to be a first rate tailback.
The d coaches usually get first crack at athletes like Jefferson. With Jamal looking like the real deal in spring practice and the possibility of our getting Jones and Dwyer, I think he would be more valuable at lb. We lose Hall after this coming season and Wheeler and Guyton the following year.
IF Kelly doesn't work out at RB, then they could try him over there. I liked his videos at RB because of his speed and taking it to the house on any play. But, looks like LB material to me.
stateline...all I saw was highlight film on Rivals...at both TB and LB...and I just love him at LB. We have him on our board at #1 as a LB target this year....so I doubt there will be any discussion on offense.
I just plunked down my money to see some film.....
And I like Brad Jefferson on offense. Damn, does he have break away speed! He looked like Reggie Bush out there on the Dome turf. Catches passes real nice and makes a helluva lot of yards after the catch. He might not be a true running back but he would be a threat to go all the way any time he has the ball in his hands. A multi skilled offensive threat like Brad would be just what Tech's offense needs.
Positions, his most natural spot is on defense. Speed on
defense wins championships. There are other players more
comfortable on the offensive side that we can bring in but
this kind of speed on defense throws OCs into a panic.
Maybe if he has good hands we could use him on STs ala
Miami with their recent DB.
