I heard this the other day, but didn't know if it had teeth. Personally, I don't think that this bodes well for Tech, even though he wanted to commit a couple of months ago...our staff told him to hold off and visit the campus first. Leslie scheduled a to visit Tech for the Boston College game on September 15. I think that if we could get him on campus, especially for a night ACC game, that he would be ours. However, his not ever visiting our campus combined with the fact that he has family at Nebraska will put him in Lincoln next year. I hope that I am wrong.

no doubt that he would be a solid addition. Since his visit in September, he's made it clear that he wants to major in Engineering....

Leslie states that "Georgia Tech is in the ACC and that's a great conference for football. I like the coaches there and academically, you can't beat them. I want to major in Engineering and they have one of the top programs in that field of study so there is a ton of pluses.

"With Nebraska, I have a lot of family there and the comfort level I have with them is pretty strong. I'm cousins with Steve Taylor who played quarterback there and he has a lot of great things to say about the school. Even though he's gone, he said he still comes back and visits all the time.

The reason he has lacked offers is that his shoulder is questionable. We needed him to get to campus so we could have a physician look at him...one of ours...that was the only way to check him out.

It is not the end of the world...lots of good DB's out there...including the one we got in Riley.

Leslie has now reconsidered committing and has decided to take his visits. As I mentioned previously, if we can get him on campus then he will be ours to lose.

However, I wonder if he was actually going to commit to Tech on Tuesday and the staff said "Not without the visit."

That's exactly what they said.

I think that's a smart move. You can't be choosing a school without even seeing it.
