I'm all in for him.. so much so i thought it deserved another thread.. I loved O'leary's recruiting style and hope brent picked it up from him.. csb
You aware that a good # of O'leary's recruits wouldn't get into the school today, right?
The problem is the rules change. NCAA measure progress towards degree to be eligible now.yeah i'm just not so sure who's fault that is... did the hill turn against us or did the coaches/Gailey/AD give in to the hill?
still believe you can get these guys through class with enough tutors/word/etcThe problem is the rules change. NCAA measure progress towards degree to be eligible now.
Let’s just imagine for a second that we didn’t know Key was a “Tech man”
Who would be happy hiring an OL coach that flamed out at UCF?
Another way of putting it is that Key was the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator the year they won zero games. He is not blameless.i thought he was the coach in waiting until o'leary's departure somehow screwed him over.. him

Of course. Teams that lose all their games often times have extenuating circumstances. But two years after they replaced the coaching staff (Key included) they went undefeated. Pretty big shift. Here’s the deal with that team- UCF was still on NCAA scholly sanctions, youngest team in football, lost the most starters to injury, freshman QB most of the season.

That's what she said.Definitely in now
His coaching resume also includes a successful 11-year stint at UCF, where he helped lead the Knights to four conference championships and eight bowl appearances, one season as an assistant coach at Western Carolina and two seasons as a graduate assistant at Georgia TechLet’s just imagine for a second that we didn’t know Key was a “Tech man”

That criteria does not seem to apply to the cesspool. Stetson was there for six years, remained eligible and never got a degree. The problem is the rules change. NCAA measure progress towards degree to be eligible now.
I don’t know, I think about 99.9% of GT students now graduate from GT, which is a good thing. You aware that a good # of O'leary's recruits wouldn't get into the school today, right?
