Well one thing season was - consistent. From calling a time out for Tommy Bowden to go for a TD rather than a FG at Clemson to throwing the ball to get intercepted in your own end of the field is simply amazing. This guy coached in the pro's? Im impressed.

hey Father WASP .. i can understand that you're pissed with the result and so am i and so is every Tech fan who wants Tech to do well unlike many so called Tech fans on this board who want us to lose to prove a point.

the very least that you can do is be critical openly and plainly. you have to be sarcastic even in your criticism?

i'm impressed!

My criticism is of Suggs, who obviously was playing because the staff expected him to make fewer mistakes than DeBo, but who threw the damn ball off-balance instead of taking a meaningless sack. The coach can't make the on-field decision. Maybe it was a poor call (Cooper, with that beautiful mountain talk, thought so), probably made by BO'B, but a Div I QB KNOWS WHAT TO DO IN THAT SITUATION. AJ did not do it. You could see on CG's face that he was fed up with Suggs. I frankly will be surprised if AJ ever takes another game snap.

This is just sad, fellas. Our fb program, I am afraid, is not in good hands for whatever the reason.

There are no Ga Tech fans on this board or the Hive or who go to Tech games or who listen to Tech games or who watch Tech games that ever want Ga Tech to lose....period.

GT Ace, I agree, even BeeWare wants Tech to win.

Especially BeWare. He would wear on us by his repstitious ranting but I am convinced that he loves GT and for that I can overlook a lot.

I grow weary of every post that is critical of Tech, some nitwit wants to challenge our loyalty. For your info, I was one of the few there DURING the lightening storm at VA Tech, there at the END of that debacle at Georgia, endured the humiliation of each and every game, even watching on TV as we became jokes and fodder for a national tv audience.

I think the opposite - I think alot of these "glass is half full" types are Georgia Bulldogs in disguise. The longer this misery continues for us the more they are on top. True Tech people expect excellence. I do not criticize our athletes by name nor point out their mistakes - it is directed at people we pay good money to to develop a team like Maryland demonstrated last night or Virginia the day before.

Now, as for FACTS - that play selection was idiotic. You do not, on a muddy field with a lead and a season of watching your quarterback struggle with the long throw, call a pass play. Surely even you "positive types" will admit we have some problems here.

The play was there! The reciever (Can't remember his name because I am trying to forget it all!) had 3-4 steps on the DB. If a good throw is made there is a good chance he takes it to the house.

Did anyone notice that previous to this game AJ would overthrow the open receivers and during this game he was consistenly underthrowing them.

In the end it comes down to fundementals. AJ threw the ball off is back foot because he was afraid to take a hit. His fundementals are not there and that is a product of coaching.

It was a STUPID call. Too many things can go wrong for a poor passing team in that situation. Power ball was the answer, Gailey and O'Brien just simply forgot the question.

I'm no coach, and I have never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. That said, it appears to this fan that Tech does enter every game with a game plan. The problem occurs when said game plan fails to produce. Instead of modifying the plan, or sticking with it, our Braine trust of BOB and Chan try "the old lets try this one" attack. Just like my days as a 12 year old in the backyard.

Confusion is rampant on the sideline. As a result, we don't know what the hell we are doing!

Its going to take a hard sell to get me to extend my 21 year status as season ticket holder if the same bunch of coaches remain.

The problem is that once again the team came out uninspired and flat... no on field leadership until D' Bo provided the second half spark... by that time the defense was... exhausted from again allowing only 6 points in the first half...
The offense this season was just plain terrible and no I don't think that AJ was the entire problem... coaches need to motivate and prepare kids to play... I saw very little of that this season... most of our victories were tedious affairs that seemed to drag on ala the Duke and UNC games...
the team played good, hard, emotional football twice this year... UVa and NCSt.. the rest of the games were boring, underachieving and humiliating
I dread next season but we'll have to endure it...

We beat UNC with Ace (who averaged 13 yards per carry yesterday). Why would that not have worked against FS?
.
6 Int. sure wasn't the answer.

BOO

UNC has a horrible (young and undersized, sounds familiar to GT's)defensive line. Everybody who played UNC ran the ball on them this year
