GT football had several trends in the CCG era, and some that extended even further back than that. I can think of several trends that died in the first year of the CPJ era. Any more to add? Which of the lingering trends is the next to fall?

Bucked trends
GT loses to UGA
GT loses to FSU
GT wins homecoming
GT owns UNC
GT offense is in the bottom half of the NCAA

Trends that linger on
GT owns Miami
GT loses the Peach Chicken Bowl
GT fans quibble about uniform ensembles
GT doesn't make a BCS bowl

Trends yet to be challenged
GT is owned by UVA in Charlottesville
GT owns NC State

Linger:

2 Chanesque games, (LSU, Garner Webb) although that might arguably be less Chanesque games than in years previous.

GT is owned by UVA in Charlottesville

I think I'd change this to the ongoing trends category and update it to GT is owned by UVA period.

We've dropped 5 of the last 6 to them, the 06 Thursday game in throwbacks being the only win.

Two things:

1/ITJacket...the UVA win in the throwback unis was in 2006 I believe

2/One more trend that dates back over a decade...finishing the season in the Top 25 after starting the season there.

The one thing I know, is that as long as we have those hideous uniforms, I will continue to whine about them.

Under bucked trends:

"Not ending the season in Top 25"

Linger:

2 Chanesque games, (LSU, Garner Webb) although that might arguably be less Chanesque games than in years previous.

By the way, I think that we can learn a lot from the Gardner Webb game. What PJ did last year with that team without his kind of players is just amazing. However Gardner Webb showed us just how vulnerable we were and how weak we may have been throughout the lineup (i.e. didn't have PJ's kind of players).

Extending that, we could have room to really grow in this offense. (Remember just how bad Michigan looked during their first year transition.)

Its not about bucking the trends, its about trending the bucks.

As is trending them WAY UPWARD and hoping not to kill the fanbase in the process. TV contract save us please!!!!
