Budweiser song???

Why in the hell did the band not play the 4th quarter Budweiser song?? Was it to pay respect to Abbate's brother or what? If that is the case I totally understand but if not then what the hell?? The endzone next to the band had a huge Bud sign and yet we didn't play the song?

Of course the game in the scheme of things is more important than a dumb song and I am king-sized pissed we lost but what gives???

Back to Jacksonville, whip the mountaineers!!
 
that must have been why. Without any disrespect to the guy's family tragedy, both could have occurred. It was our home game, and feel pretty confident that other hosts for Wake this year did their traditional 4th qtr. thing while everyone honored the loss of Abbate's brother.

If the loss of his brother had anything at all to do with alcohol, I take back everything I just wrote.
 
Why does the Acc give a crap about our Bud song?? We play it everygame, WTF???
 
I still think it is odd that we give a free advertisement for a beer company. Why not play a Tech song?

Did anybody find the real reason?? Ive been baffled by this too.
 
Band people on here and the Hive said they can't play it at any ACC events because it's a commerical song.

Umm....this is college football....students/alumni do dorky things...

Some become burned out hippies on College Avenue; Some bounce up and down to a beer jingle.

Who the hell cares how you look if you're enjoying a beautiful saturday afternoon watching your favorite team play??
 
Yes, it's a tradition that's been going on for over 30 years. We should play it every game and imo should have ignored the ACC rule and paid the penalty.
