Butch Jones: Tech has advantage

Tech is the home team. Doesn't the home team usually practice on the home field?

Not that it matters one bit, but I was not aware we got to practice at mbs.

Did we?

Every team (bama and fsu included) was extended opportunity for 1 practice in the stadium.

For some reason I thought Tennessee was the home team, but all the sites have us listed second so maybe not.

Either way, pretty weak excuse. Then again, it was also a pretty innocuous comment. A reporter probably just asked him if they had been in the stadium yet.

The real point being, ut is in no position to talk about this type thing.

Back in 68, ut installed AstroTurf before the season. Besides the Astrodome, I think they were the only team to have it.

SUPPOSEDLY, they were to practice on their grass practice field during the week so as not to have an advantage with regards to the difference come game time. Riiiiight.

Ugag, the first opponent of the year for ut, really got screwed on the deal.

I'd say us playing right down the road from campus is an advantage, but we have yet to win a post season Peach Bowl.
