Calvin: 7 receptions for 107 yards against falcons

I was at the game and he looked really good and very comfortable out there. He made a great catch over the middle in a pack of four guys. He would have added a touchdown, but the Falcon's CB knocked him to the ground on purpose to prevent the score and caused a PI instead.

It feels good to see him succeed at the next level.
 
You know what felt even better than that?

Seeing the Falcons RIP APART the Lions defense. Michael Turner is awesome, and Norwood is more than just a backup...they could be a deadly platoon. Combine that with how poised and accurate Ryan was in his first start, and we could be looking at a shocker of a year! We just need Abraham to stay healthy...he is the key to the defense.

EDIT: I was at the game also, where did you sit? Disappointing attendance, but I guess it was to be expected. Amusing to see the "sell out crowd" fill up only about half of the stadium.

Meh. It was cool to see some points, but I am not a fan of either team and I sure as hell am not wearing red. I was in a yellow GT polo in section 330, row 24. Way up in the nose bleeds, but I was surprised the view was still good.
 
Kyle you were at the game. what the hell is up with Atlanta being good? Was Ryan and Turner really that good or does Detroit's defense suck that bad? I was shocked on the score.

Oh, I was section 320. Upper deck views are great in the GA Dome...I much prefer them to sitting in the lower level. I was wearing a black falcons shirt...but I'm probably going to get a black Matt Ryan jersey. Honestly, I think the red jerseys look better...but like you said, I'll be damned if I'm going to hang a red football jersey in my closet(or wear one). That halftime made me want to punch someone in the face.

As near as I can tell, Atlanta has discovered an outstanding offensive line under a rock some place, and has an offensive coordinator who knows how to call plays from the power I creatively. The play calls were great, the blocking was outstanding, and Turner is a freaking beast. Dude just can't be stopped. He gets 4 and turns it into 15, regularly.

Ryan managed the game. He only threw 13 passes and a lot of them were PA dump offs. The first pass was a sweet strike on a post. He definitely looks like an NFL QB and an improvement over Harrington last season.

Michael Turner looked like he was playing pinball with the defense. He was making insane cuts and bouncing off Lions defenders left and right. Falcon's OL looks very stout this season. I think the Falcons will be much improved this season, but I still think the Lions defense is just that bad.

I hope you're getting a white one then because Atlanta's other color is black - just like uga's.
 
I wear a white Brooking Falcons jersey to the Falcons games. Calvin sounded great. I had to listen to Wes call the game since I was painting all day. Look for Calvin to have one hell of a season.
 
Yea, they looked great today...on the colors...I coach a team that is red and black and I wanna throw up everytime I put on my coaching shirt
