Does Calvin stand a shot to be taken seriously for HEISMAN???

Stats for year:
19 Catches, 311 yards, 16.4 Avg, 5 TD, 66 yds. LONG, 77.8 Avg./Game

Those are pretty good numbers, however they're not EYE POPPING... I'd love to see him have a great season however, I am just not sure that he plays in a offensive scheme that has enabled him to collect the type numbers he is capable of getting....Good thing he's a humble guy b/c some athletes let it be known that "THEY EXPECT TO TOUCH THE BALL" on almost every down (or they become impatient & transfer)...I'd love to see him play next year w/ new quaterback and having 1 year of Nix's schemes under his belt....however, I am not sure he will pass up the opportunity to COLLECT MILLIONS $$$$

Any thoughts??

Our QB would get recognition if that were the case. I don't know many college stories of WR's having stout numbers, without the QB having pretty impressive numbers as well. Is RB on pace to even break 2000 passing yards for the season? I agree that the humbel CJ amazes me with his class. He knows he will get his yards, if not here then in the NFL.

Its a huge task for a WR to recieve the heisman (only 2, and a handful of running backs with a lot of catches but its a stretch to put them in there), and I don't think its in the cards this year, if CJ and Ginn were in the high scoring 70% passing offenses of the late 90s, they'd have a better shot, but I see them both having a pretty good shot at 4/5 in the voting and making it to the ceromony (top 5 go, right?).

So much of it is based on numbers and team success, and right now I dont think Calvin has either of those, though I certainly hope he'll have both in the next few weeks.
