No not megatron im talking about Booker. According to the Ajc Shaw and Nesbitt are both doing non contact drills. I would almost bet anything that Josh Nesbitt will not play Saturday. In fact i will make a bet if Josh Nesbitt starts Saturday i will never post again. PJ said he has no idea if Shaw was going to play Saturday.

I agree with you EastJacket. I would just like to see him playing in the 3rd quarter instead of the 1st.

They interviewed JN on 790 this afternoon and he said that the coaches said it will be up to him if he plays or not. I think JN will start but not play very long at all.

That's good... three weeks without a snap at gamespeed might hurt him versus clemson. He's a hard nose kid though I just hope he doesn't push it to far and get hurt worse

Lucky we're only playing GW...

True but you know if an ACC team was rolling in Nesbitt would play, even if he was 85%. Shaw was banged up and didn't practice Tuesday, he'll be ready by Saturday, too.

Wouldn't we run a different package of the offense with Booker because he's not a real running threat?

More than likely, but we're still thin at A-Back with Peeples out. Quincy Kelley is out for a while it looks like, maybe the year, so Cox is moving to B-Back to give Dwyer his breaks, but that doesn't mean he won't play A-back any. Still, that only leaves us with G. Smith and Jones at AB, with Cox in reserve. I could be wrong, but didn't Rashaad Reid get some snaps at AB against MSU?

I downloaded this week's press conference and listened to it on the way to work today. It's a half hour long, and more comprehensive than the excerpts they post at rr.com.

The gist is that PJ isn't sure who will start. At least as of Tuesday. He said that Book could play, and that Book would be running the "regular" offense. Don't forget, ALL PJ plays have the same "package" of 2 WRs, 2 ABs, 1 BB, etceteras. He joked about that in the press conference, how defenses have these big signs they hold up to tell the guys on the field what personnel the offense has in, and how they never change it vs Tech. PJ also said Book would run the option, and that while he may not be fast (at all) he's a big dude (6'5", 250ish?) and hard to tackle.

He did say that having Booker in there might influence his playcalling, but it sounded to me like he definitely wasn't going to have a different "package" for Booker, which means we need A backs, which means we have to play Marcus. Embry is questionable, and Cox is going to have to back up Dwyer at B back because of our other injury, so that's two less A backs, leaving us with only two. No choice but to activate Wright. PJ said he expected Wright might get 15 snaps or so.

Personally, I rather expect Nesbitt to play until we get our first TD, Jaybo until we get our second, and Book the rest of the way.

Booker will start.

Jaybo has a mild concussion, the chances of him starting is slim to none.

Booker to Bebe! Also, look for Clyburn to get some balls. Willie White should see some time I would imagine.

Wonder though how much CPJ WOULD or WILL break from the regular run philosophy. After all, I doubt we'll need to to beat GW. Whoever's at QB he'll probably want them to get game experience running the O.

Interesting...

Earls is back too.
