Anyone else listening to 790 the ticket in Miami? They said Meuller and Cameron just drove into Dolphins headquarters together. Word in Miami is definitely that Cameron is the guy.

If that's true, someone PLEASE tell me that Chan is going to hire a real OC.

Way to be positive bsakoff - I'm actually elated at this prospect. There is a degree of continuity with Gailey remaining at the helm, and Tech comes off looking good because our OC was hired by Miami (no matter what our perception of Nix is).

Also, I don't think the uncertainty surrounding the OC situation will significantly affect recruiting given the statements from most recruits about CCG. I haven't read any recruits claiming that Nix is the reason they're coming to Tech. I think this gives DR the opportunity to conduct a thorough search and make a solid hire before signing day (or after). I just don't see how losing Nix can have a seriously negative impact on the team if DR makes a decent hire.

Continuity of what? losses to UGA, no shows in the top 25, at least five losses/year? that is what has happened EVERY year with Gailey.

Sorry, but that degree of continuity you are so excited about is pretty weak.

i feel where you are coming from GeeTee, but I think Chan has us moving in the right direction. However, a good pick at OC could be just the kick in the pants this program needs to get over the hump.

Chan is so devoted to GT and our program that he interviewed for not one but TWO open positions. Yep, let's stand by him.

Nobody is forcing you to be a fan. You can go be a UF fan or UGA fan or another flavor of the month....I swear the negativety around here somtimes...worse than my clients (and they are facing prison at least!)

So how does Gailey get these young men to play for him next year after he's clearly tried to jump ship. This will be in the back of these players minds everytime he give a pre-game speech, and he can never use coaches favorite word(commitment) with these kids again.

funny to watch those who defend mediocrity and a coach that obviously doesn't want to be at GT.

Tell me honestly that you wouldn't interview for ten jobs that triple your salary and decrease your responsibilities (NFL head coaching is almost all Xs and Os - no academics, less off the field responsibility). Loyalty or not, you can't blame the man for looking to triple his salary.

Hell, I would unless I was really happy where I was at.

no kidding... he obviously wants to get back to the NFL and not be at GT. This will always be in the back of the minds of the players and fans because its most likely very true. GT, or Gailey I should say, just delayed the inevitable... we'll be here again next year unless he's fired after, yet, another year of mediocrity and UGA loss first.

I don't have a problem with Gailey interviewing, but if you're going to do it then you had better get the job, because if you don't then it's just going to be hard to come back.

yep...and to make it worse he tried for TWO separate positions.

Oh grow up. Like ugag players don't think about Richt going back to FSU. Or Carroll's players are convinced he's going to stay at USC no matter what. Players really aren't as stupid as you seem to think they are.

thinking it and acutally doing it by interviewing for TWO jobs and trying to get out are entirely different. why don't you grow up and get your head out of the sand?
