Can Duke beat Miami?

How much will the suspensions impact this game? We would all love to see Duke win this one. I went and got a copy of Miami's depth chart to see who some of these players are:

Secondary:
LCB Glenn Sharpe
Bruce Johnson (suspended)
RCB Randy Phillips (suspended)
Carlos Armour (suspended)
SS Kenny Phillips
Anthony Reddick (suspended)
FS Brandon Meriweather (suspended)
Lovon Ponder

Also, Brian Monroe (punter and kickoff kicker), Derrick Morse (starting RG), and James Bryant (starting FB) are suspended.

Kenny Phillips is a HUGE loss. Probably the most talented this year. Duke will play HARD. How can you let a bunch of undisciplined thugs win.
 
I actually think it might go a pretty even game, but even with the losses, depth is going to win out, UM by 10.
 
Not even close. If it were NC State, Maryland, Wake, maybe even UVA - I'd say Miami's toast. But even with the suspensions, they're not losing to Duke or UNC.
 
Dook, could not beat Miami Ohio.
Besides, if Dook beats Miami, then Miami comes here with the full squad, we could be in trouble.

I am hoping that ACC brass passes out a 2 to 3 game suspension for the brawl.

It's not going to happen. They "thoroughly reviewed" the tape before passing out the suspensions. One game suspensions - what a joke!
 
Doubtful.

Duke has had 3 conference victories since 2000:

11-13-04 In Durham against Clemson (5-4) 16-13

11-22-03 In Chapel Hill against UNC (2-9) 30-22

...and one other game in '03 in Ted Roof's second game as HC. :ugh:
 
This is the same Miami that nearly lost to Houston at home. It is certainly a possibility.

Their offense has always sucked and now they're missing their secondary.
 
It's also the same Duke that took Wake to the wire and almost beat BAMA.

I believe!

Does anybody here live in Bama or follow Bama at all? Do you know WTF happened in the Bama-Duke game for Duke to be leading so far into the game?

Apparently, the Wake game was due to Wake breaking in a new QB after the first-stringer went out for the season, but I'm really wondering about the Bama game.

Yeah, with their secondary missing who is going to score all the TDs?
 
Actually Duke can beat this Miami team. Miami has no offense...the only reason they finally scored points in the second half against FIU is because their secondary was kicked out of the game. Miami may not score Saturday. The big question is whether Duke will, but it won't surprise me a bit if Duke wins.
 
In the slim chance that Duke somehow beat Miami (suspended players or not), I doubt we would see Larry Coker even be the head coach of Miami when they arrive in Atlanta for next weekend's game.
