Can someone explain the 'no safety' call?

Can someone explain the \'no safety\' call?

I was in a restaurant in Florida (game blacked out here; no volume on tv)....Hagan appeared to throw the ball without any receiver near the throw...should have been 2 pts. and them kicking to us from their 20.

That was a critical no call...did anyone see a receiver?

They said that he was outside of the box, but he was not.

He was close to being outside the tackle box. ACC refs seem to pick who they want to win before a game and try to help them along. Couple of those happened today, didnt make us lose, but sure didnt help us win.

That is ABSOLUTE CRAP....that would have been a game changing play....and talk about pumping up the 'D' if it was called!!!!

Refs definitely seemed 1 sided and that was a bogus call, but the game wasn't won or lost on that play...the game was lost in the 1st & 4th 15 minutes

I agree with the 1st qtr being disastrous...particularly defensively. I also typically agree about a bad call. However, this was not a normal bad call...this was a HUGE swing call mentally and quantatively...and on the road...making it all the more pathetic.

This could have been a game changing play.

The refs did seem to favor UVA in this one - UVA needed this for their bowl eligibility.

i thought it was a bad call, but i don't think i had such a big impact on the game...we helpt them, got good field position, and then scored the tying TD...
the damn short kickoff that they returned past the 40 on the other hand...

I think it would have dramatically changed the game. We would have been down 17-12 with the ball and all of the momentum and could have potentially taken a 20-17 lead or gone Chan style and taken a 19-17 lead.
