Can someone post a recap of the press conf

Gailey's out, as if you didn't know already. Said that there's no clear-cut favorite for the replacement. Search will be "swift but thorough." D-Rad said that he wants it to be fast, but that getting it right was more important.

He went on to say that Tenuta would be the interim coach for the bowl game, and that he would like JT to interview for the job as well.

Said Gailey was a class-act, but that a CFB coach had to be charismatic these days. Also mentioned ACC and UGA losses.

Not really anything that stood out to me other than that Tenuta is the interim HC. DRad basically said how important an energized fan base was. He also said that he hasn't (officially) started a search yet and will begin immediately.

Another good quote he had was (WTTE): "It's more important to get it right than to do it fast." with regard to hiring a head coach.

for those of us with firewalls at work. Thanks.

I listened but didn't take notes. Sorry.

tone was very serious.

Search will be conducted, a national one.

Tenuta is interim and is welcome (maybe encouraged) to interview.

Players want a bowl and GT will make it an enjoyable time for them.

He has names in mind but no fron runner right now.

Chan understood it was a business decsion but disagreed with the decision.

Booing is never appropriate at a college football game but it did indicate an "erosion" of support.

We basically owe him $4 million and will pay it (don't know how-assume over 4 years time).

I think that was most of it, really nothing surprising. He was as usual cool and calm.

I missed the first part of it but 790 is saying the short list include Skip Holtz, Jimbo Fisher, Randy Edsall, and Will Muschamp.

Ignore everything being said on 790 now, its ridiculous the names they're coming up with.

Heh, at least they just admitted how ridiculous it was. :)

I agree just heard them say GOL... but it does sound like they will make a decision relatively quick who ever it may be.

What Dan did say was that he listened to the feedback from the fanbase. He read his e-mails and it was a factor. I think that's huge.
