It took 7 years to figure this out? Not one curious tech student had a spectrum analyzer of any kind on campus???

Where is the school I went to?

The signals may be detectable only during full power operations.

BTW, can a SpecAn be hidden in one's pants?

I used to have a complete cell blackout in the stadium that made me scratch my head. Now I know.

I didn't ask when I initially posted this, but how realistic is it really for the video board to interfere with cell signals for folks that aren't within the immediate vicinity of the board?

Curious as well. I've always had shit luck doing most anything on my phone in the upper north (granted it's gotten slightly better over the years). I just always figured it had to do with the density of users. Maybe not though?

Tech installed a DAS system in Bobby Dodd but I believe it was only AT&T. What you need is each carrier install their antennas in Bobby Dodd, too. If enough Verizon, Sprint, etc. customers complain they'll install them. But yeah if the big screen is messing with cell signals, my guess is no amount of small cell antennas is going to help.
