Can you say...

Is de-committing a nice way to say we pulled his scholarship because he did not meet the minimum standards of entry into Georgia Tech? Michigan State should feel dirty.

I think so.

And yeah, MSU must have crappy standards if they are signing him.

Delayed reaction isn't it? This is old news dude, let it go.
Yeah we found out about his decommitment last week, but the MSU commitment is just a day old. But yeah I guess we should move on.

May have decided he wanted to be closer to home, who really knows. Anyway, not something to get too worked up about, a kids gotta go where he feels most comfortable and I have no problem with that.

Just out of curiosity, TechGator, once his Georgia Tech scholarship offer was rescinded did you think there was a chance he was still going to come to GT? Did you think there was a chance he wasn't going to go anywhere?

I'm not trying to give you a hard time and it's no skin off my nose if you keep discussing it. I'm just trying to understand what your expectations were? We rescinded our scholarship offer. Cedric Everson found another school that would offer him a scholarship. Good for us for rescinding a scholarship to an athlete with whom we felt uncomfortable for whatever reason. And good for Cedric that he has found another school to offer him a scholarship.

MSU makes sense. Didn't someone say he had some sort of connection to the Univ. of Cincinnati coach? Didn't the Cincy coach recently take the head coaching job at MSU? Isn't Cedric from Michigan?

As for this class the loss of Cedric hasn't dampened my enthusiasm for it one bit. Yes, we need athletes with the talent of CE. But we need those athletes to fit into Georgia Tech academically, athletically, and personally. He didn't fit that total mold. But we've got a great incoming class of kids that do (and I plan to be at the Edge building Wed. morning to watch Allison write all their names down on the board as their LOIs come in).
