Capital One vs. Chick-fil-A

Cap One is better because it's on NYD and in Florida.

Peach is better because it has no TV competition and I LIKES ME SOME CHICK-N-MINIS.

Dude........

Chicken Biscuits KILL the Minis ;)

Had the same conversation w/ a few other people. They don't think just because cap one is on new year's day means it's better. The next step-up for us is a BCS bowl. I consider us one game out from a BCS game. We're quality.

The Atlanta Sports Council said Friday the Chick-fil-A Bowl was the third-highest attended bowl game with 74,413 spectators, it earned the highest television rating of all ESPN bowls this year and the highest in the Bowl's history (5.09, or 4.92 million households), its $1.04 million in charity funding was the highest of any bowl game and its team pay-out hit $5.83 million.

I'm VERY excited about this game...7:30 on New Year's Eve, I think we'll have quite an audience. Let's hope we put on a good performance!

I wish I could be their! But I've got to work and I've already been to 6 games this year.

Which one is the "better" bowl?

I think the CFA is the better bowl. I definitely think it's better than the Gator. Even if we are staying home in ATL , the exposure New Years EVE is better. No other competition from other TV bowl viewers.

I also think it's only a matter of time CFA becomes a BCS bowl.

No brainer: The CFA is obviously a better bowl than the Capital One because Georgia Tech is playing in the CFA and Georgia is playing in the Capital One.

Personally, I hate the Georgia Dome. Football in ATL needs to be outdoors. It's a damn shame that the Falcons have to play there. Indoor football in the South??? Although there are few things more miserable than being outdoors in 30-something degree weather in the rain.

Now back to regular programming...I'd love to be playing outdoor football in the bright sunshine.

The Cap One Bowl, so says the AJC, has the highest payout of non-BCS games.

Boy I think you miss the whole advantage that the Dome offers Atlanta and the southeast. Yes, you give up some outdoor football games when the weather is nice, but you also get indoor games when it is not. You also get a nice CFA Bowl, SECCG, NCAA Final Fours, ACC Basketball Tournament.....

But back to topic, why is it important to compare our bowl to UGA's bowl. They are a good team, congrats to them for going to a bowl game. Now let's worry about us.

We need to beat LSU in a couple of weeks, and then VPI next year.

I wish I could be there. Unfortunatly, i'm a poor kid.

The CFA bowl is better because Georgia Tech is playing in it. End of story.

reason I asked was because a dawg fan was saying they're going to a better bowl and I was hoping for some arguing points.

CFA is better.
-Higher payout
-Better TV time slot
-Its a better matchup
-CFA>Outback

Tell your Jawja fan, very seriously, with a hint of begrudging in your voice, that the Orlando bowl is the better bowl. When asked why, say that it is because it is played at the site of the last national championship won by a Division 1A school from our state.
