CBS COY- Coach Paul Johnson

Wow!

Great article and well deserved.

Congrats CPJ!!

"If the offense is executed, it's not just a triple option, it's a Paul Johnson offense. He's a certified genius running something that only he understands."
I absolutely love that quote.

For a Dennis Dodd article, it's not bad, although I'm obviously biased. I think there's some cheap shots at James Johnson in it though, which are undeserved. I don't expect Dodd to know the whole story on that though.

How did Vandy's coach get third in the SEC? That football team is horrid.

Johnson did it with arguably the ACC's worst offensive line. When lineman Andrew Gardner went down in early November, he was replaced with 250-pound Austin Barrick. Watch the game tape of the Georgia game. You'll laugh at the number of blocks that were missed. And Tech still punked the Dawgs on the ground.

Yes, you might say Paul Johnson outcoaches people.

Awesome

I think it was unfair to Johnson too, but it does remind me what we had to overcome to get here. Thank goodness for DT. He made a huge difference for us this year.

Who are you going to put in front of him besides Saban and Meyer? Almost the entire SEC underperformed, excepting Vandy and Ole Miss. I guess you could make the argument for Nutt, but I like giving a tip of the cap to Vandy.

I knew he could do it. PJ deserves this more then any coach, and with all the negative reactions about his offense, he was able to do this with the Jackets. 9-3 WOW!! Thank you so much PJ!
