Georgia Tech’s bowl picture shaping up

Chick-fil-A, Gator and Champs Sports are likely destinations

Looks as if the CFA (Peach) is a strong possibility with the opponent either being LSU or S Carolina.

If the CFA decides to go with the ACCCG loser, then trouble looms as it sounds as if the Gator wants an FSU/Nebraska matchup.

If this scenario unfolds, GT would fall to the Champs vs. either Minnesota or Wisconsin.

Hey, it doesn't matter because next year I am smelling a BCS bowl.

If we fall to the Champs, our team would probably be the best team ever to play in the Champs Sports Bowl.

What makes me sick to my stomach thinking about,

is having to root for VT this weekend in order to ensure us getting a likely Peach Bowl berth...

This will be the only time in conference I would root for VT, I hate them and think they are the luckiest team in the ACC. I can't wait till Bud Foster and his defense are absolutely confounded on how to stop our offense next Sept. He was very LUCKY to catch us early this year and we were not grasping P.J.'s system yet.

VT went to the Peach two years ago. Perhaps the CFA Bowl committee wouldn't want them back so soon.

I think we're headed to the Peach regardless of the outcome of the ACCCG, but yes, a VT victory would pretty much lock the Peach where a BC victory would leave things a little more up in the air.

We are the highest rated ACC team out there. Peach Bowl wants and needs exposure if they want to garner the BCS CG in a few years. They aren't worried about hotels, they are worried about exposure. GT is the hottest thing going right now and they know it. If they don't take us they will lose in the long run. Bank on it!

I told this to my Chikfila contact last night and I could tell he knew it. The backlash they would incur would be damaging if they don't take us.

There's a guy on the Hive claiming to know a committee member that says we're a lock.

If we get selected to the Peach Bowl I'll go to my first ever bowl game. no mattter the cost

I will probably bring my UGA girlfriend with me.

Maaan I love this GT alumnus money.

Yeah, the guy on the Hive is saying the Peach has been sealed and delivered. If that's the case, that's awesome, especially if we get LSU.

We shouldn't take LSU too lightly, which it looks like we are doing. Did anybody see the interception in the LSU-Ark. game called back on the BS PI call? I've NEVER seen somebody move as fast on a football field as that corner moved with that interception. I have a feeling they will be a very tough competitor after having the bowl practices to refocus.

Looks like ESPN will get it wrong --let's hope so anyway.

GEORGIA TECH -- This team deserves to be in one of the top bowls, especially after beating rival Georgia, but FSU would bring a "home" crowd and be a lucrative matchup for the Gator Bowl folks.

Possibilities: Chick-fil-A Bowl, Gator Bowl, Champs Sports Bowl
Prediction: Champs Sports Bowl

The real reason I posted this info was for this:

SEC Bowl Projections
GEORGIA
The Bulldogs have been a big disappointment this season, and it begins and ends with a defense that has been sliced and diced. They're likely headed to the Capital One Bowl to play Michigan State, but Ole Miss is a much hotter team right now.

Possibilities: Capital One Bowl, Outback Bowl
Prediction: Capital One Bowl

Oh, how the Preseason accolades must seem like ions ago for D-Nation. :laugher:

We, as fans, may take LSU lightly. I highly doubt that Paul Johnson would though.

I want the CFA and LSU---revenge would be so sweet + 3-0 vs SEC--bring em on!!
