CFN Predicts Jackets Go 6-6

We better not go 6-6 and end the bowl streak. I still can't believe we couldn't find another Div. 1 team to replace Army.

We can win all the games above and UNC also to make it to the Congressional Bowl.

I know I am nit-picking but we don't play D-II schools, just D-I FCS schools.

IE: West Georgia = D-II
Georiga Southern D-I FCS

I actually knew that, but everyone calls them D. II, so it's just easier.

I've corrected some of my friends recently and they give me a "don't be a jackass" look.

Still not buying the UNC hype. When they show me, I'll believe it. They're only getting the positive attention because it's "about time" that they turned it around.
 
I'm on the "UNC will be good" boat. I honestly think this is the year things really start to turn around for them. Unfortunately for them, by that point in the season, the Jackets should hitting on all cylinders. I also think we beat FSU. I say GT goes undefeated at home.

I'm not sold on BC doing anything this year.

Actually they're getting positive attention because "Butch Davis" and 2 solid recruiting classes....but I agree with you "I'll believe it when I see it".

No, I know that. But Al Groh had everything going that direction for him and for a couple more years than Butch has had. There isn't any reason why UVA shouldn't be coming off a run at the top of the ACC right now.

So I've lost my faith in good coaches and good recruiting being an indicator for a long-awaited break-out year.

I wouldn't mind seeing Carolina get competitive again. As long as we're beating them, I'd like them to win out of conference and give the ACC another winner.

i also think BC will not be good. they lost the soul of the team when he moved to the ATL

also, UNC will be ok, but we have trouble with them historically when they are ok

7-5 is still my call

That was something else, I really think BC is going to be one of the worst teams in the conference this year. They have nothing going for them.

I think we have a legitimate reason to believe that before we play Clemson we'll can at LEAST be 5-1. With six games under our belt, we could be looking at a decent second half push.

I hate having two FCS teams on the slate, but for this year and it's purpose it can't be all bad.

Technically, they are. Which is weird, and has more to do with luck than anything else, but you have to admit their last season was pretty good.

For this year and it's purpose, it's friggin ideal. It's like extra scrimmage time.

Yeah, but they see the system at least twice a year (Navy and Air Force), and they backed out.

FWIW, I agree with CFN's prediction, but I predict that we will also get AT LEAST 1 of these three : BC, FSU, UNC.

I would rather play Army, and they're assholes for backing out, but I'm not going to pitch a fit over our schedule like many posters do.

That, and they were really competitive in most of their games last year. I think something like 7 losses of less than 7 points.

Compare that to Notre Dame, which with the exception of Navy got blown out in almost every one of their losses.
 
Matt Ryan willed his BC team to at least 3 -5 more wins last year.

BC will be like the Falcons without Vick...except not quite as bad.

BC goes 6-6...and we only one up them by going 7-5.
 
I'm on the UNC will be pretty good bandwagon. I don't think they'll be a great team, but I think they'll make a bowl. Somewhere around 7-5 or maybe even 8-4.

7-5 or 8-4 for us this year. Clemson, VPI, and UG are going to be tough on the road, and I think we'll be a little bit inconsistent and trip up in one or maybe even two other game. All the others will be wins. Defense stays good, maybe even slightly better than last year, and our offense will be better.
