Here we are staring down the championship weekend and we have tOSU making all kinds of noise of why they should be in. So, will we finally see that conference championships truly do not matter? Or does leaving one of the power teams out in the cold finally shake up the system again and get it expanded to 8 teams?

It needs to be expanded to 8 teams with conference champs getting automatic bids. I hope this happens within the next decade.

Assuming Clem, AL, and WA win, if PSU wins, they'll get the fourth slot, but if Wisc wins, OSU will get in. I just don't see how they can put OSU in there when PSU not only beat them, but they also won the conference

If you don't win you're your conference, you shouldn't be playing for the big prize. Thus, conference championships become quarterfinals (except Big-12)

tOSU needs Washington or PSU to lose, otherwise they're out.

I didn't even realize PSU had won their division. Wow! I guess Franklin is actually a good coach in addition to being a scumbag

Edit: lol, Pitt beats everyone

OSU shouldn't be in regardless who wins Big 10. They didn't beat PSU, which they needed to do to win their division. No way they should displace a conf champ.

This.

I this really any better than the way a NC was chosen in the past? It's still all political and subjective

I mean it is all a big moot point since Bama is walking away with it again this year.

Not so fast, my friend. Who's the second best team in the SEC? 8-4 Auburn? 8-3 Florida who just got schlonged by FSU? I think Bama is good, but I also think GT - 5th in the Coastal - could've won the SEC East or been 2nd place in the West.

I guess we'll find out during the FOUR HOUR SELECTION SHOW. Seriously, what the öööö. I hope it has god awful ratings.
