ALL positions are open in the spring. He said so during an interview with Chris & Nick that they played right before 1:30 pm. Hopefully that will show once again how unreliable Hollis is as a reporter and satisfy those who wanted him to state that Hollis' article was wrong.

No coach ever considers any position closed (at least publicly) going into a new year. At least not the good (or smart) ones.

Not surprising that Hollis mucked it up again. We really need a decent AJC beatwriter.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">How do you know that Hollis mucked it up? How do you know Chan Gailey is not just trying to cover himself after the 12-29-02 article ignited a fire within the Tech family. I am not happy with Hollis coverage of the Jackets either, but as I recall the assistant coaches are off limits to interviews so Gailey is the sole mouthpiece for information. That would make Hollis job difficult at best. Correct me if I am wrong on this recollection. Otherwise why would Hollis makeup this story? At the same time it is obvious why Gailey would cover his own butt. You want to cut Gailey all kinds of slack for a job done poorly in his first year but with Hollis in his first year on the Tech beat all I hear is how lousy his coverage is and that the AJC sucks etc. etc. The AJC is going to do the stories that will sell newspapers. If the Jackets could place a exicting team on the field that people want to read about I believe we would get the coverage we deserve. We have always got the headlines when we have earned them.Is that not how it should be. Again correct me if I am wrong.

GTPilot, who ever said that gailey was a good coach. This guy is a disaster and our program will be in rubbles before he is given his marching orders. WHAT A MORON.
