Can UGA reach BCS title game? ...seriously --I didn't make this up

...wow, that's freakin' brilliant!

I used to not put a whole lot into the "the ajc is biased towards UGA" talk --but this year it's been pretty obvious. From the 'Richt high dive' that was covered for a week to the black jersey's --again talked about for a week --to this latest crap.

Seriously --GT didn't get near this type of coverage in winning the Coastal and reaching the ACCCG last year.
 
The truth of the matter is that there is still a chance for them. Yeah, it sucks cause it's about Georgie, but it is a topic that I bet many readers in their subscription base would love to read.

Oh the things I would give just for us to still "have a chance" at the national title.

Remember prior to the BC game and after they played SoCar, they were running articales about hot GT has passed UGA. Boy, have things changed.

They do have a bias but in fairness the two incompetent guys on their staff have taken shots at Richt.

If we beat UGA, you want have to read this stuff for months.

I hope they win this weekend in convincing fashion versus UK, and everyone else in front of them in the BCS loses. This is the best case scenario for a season-killing upset on the Flats next weekend.

UG has zero chance of making the championship game. It's ridiculous that they'd even print an article like that.
 
Yeah, Georgia would have to leap-frog in front of the three Big 12 teams, Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas. Looking at each of those teams' remaining games, it's extremely unlikely they lose to anybody except for each other. Then, it also needs WVU and tOSU losses. Arizona State can, and IMO should, leap frog Georgia too if they beat USC.

Of course it's ridiculous. Why shouldn't their sports coverage match their editorial page and the rest of the paper? Competence in one section of the paper would stick out like a sore thumb.
 
Georgia is winning a lot, we are sucking, the paper is printing good articles about U[sic]GA and bad ones about us. Shocking. Maybe if we tried winning we would see more criticism...remember the AJC blasted UGA after the Vandy loss.
