Charlie Strong?

Seriously...why is Charlie Strong not a serious option? I think Dems or someone said he interviewed on Friday. What is everyone's take on Charlie?
 
I'm wondering why we never took a serious look at the Gator's OC, Dan Mullen; the spread option would be just what we need to inject energy into GT football. If works against SEC Defenses, it would sure work against weaker ACC defenses.

Good point but doesn't Meyer really run the offense? I thought that was the issue with Mullen.

how well did that spread option run with just leak? not well.

look who their QB is.

what about GT and what gt has and can recruit makes you think they could successfully run this offense. When tebow leaves, UF won't be able to either. Tebows are once every 10 years...if that.

finally mullen is a meyer puppet. Its not his offense.

Leak was a drop back pro style passer, which is why the Gators O was nothing special last year.

You just need to recruit speed and more speed. Size isn't an issue. The QB must be a dual threat QB and a Tebow type is not necessary; look at Pat White at WVU. I see no reason why this cannot be done at GT.

That is pure speculation. Yes it is UM's O, but, IIRC, Mullen calls the plays.

I seem to remember the Gators being pretty good last year and dropping 40+ on Ohio State in the National Championship. Also I remember Utah being undefeated behind a damn good offense when Meyer was there.

Almost every successful offense these days is running some sort of shotgun spread offense, even in high school...

I guesss we should stick with 2 tights and a FB and run the same boring crap that produces 17 pts a game..
