chatroom open talk about CSU/UVA

2 things to add since I wasn't in chat...First,CSU isn't that good. My roommate went there, and we watch a lot or their games. They were projected to be a *little* better this year, but they still shouldn't have beaten a decent UVA team.
Second, did anyone notice what Groh did afte UVA scored it's second TD of the third quarter, putting UVA up 20-19? He went against all common logic, against the "Book". He *GASP* went for the PAT when up by one instead of going for 2!!!! You wouldn't believe how many times it killed me to see us going for, and failing to get, two last year. O'Leary kept claiming that there's some chart in his book that told him when to do it, and he goes by that. Of course, that chart cost us two games last year.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">I think the chart cost us one game only and that was Clemson. The UVA game didn't cost us at all. I was gonna come on here and complain about CSU"s decision to go for 2 with 10:48 remaining in the 2nd quarter. They should have just kicked the extra point and gone up 13-7. Instead, they consulted the chart and wound up ahead 12-7.
That chart isn't meant for the entire game.

Great game. UVA's got a lot more speed and options on offense than I thought capable of such a young team. I hope all the kids stay healthy, this will be an excellent Homecoming game! Also, a few times I could faintly hear the ugag fight song...how many other schools have this song and who's is the original?

CSU deserved to win the game... they answered when they had to...
VA has recruited ALOT of speed... I dread seeing some of those guys for the next 4-5 years..
Hagan did a great job at QB
CSU's offense was not very sophisticated, I am surprised that VA didnt make better defensive adjustments early in the game. The CSU offensive sets and play calling were very predictable.

The only original thing at UGA is the concrete.
Why such a southern school uses a paen to the North is beyond me.
BTW, I'm not buying the "John Brown's Body" argument, it's the BHR, puppies.
Virginia made a critical mistake in playing conservative on defense at the end of the game.
After the snap over the QB's head, Virginia played a basic prevent defense and did not rush the passer on second down. It was obvious, Colorado State had to pass to get off their goal line. The 26 yard pass allowed CS to get off their goal line and eventually put UVA in a hole.
You cannot cease to play aggressively on offense or defense. You have to constantly keep the pressure on the other team to be a good football team.
Virginia should have played man to man coverage and sent everyone else for the quarterback at that point.
