No denying it, Choice is the real deal. He's made the most of his opportunity and had GREAT back to back games against two of the top defenses in the NFL. Way to go...makes me happy. And the "T-C" celebration was priceless!!!

What was the "T-C" celebration?

Hey scored the touchdown to seal the win, and in the end zone he made a "T" by strethcing out his arms parallel to the ground. He then leaned to his left and made a big "C" with his arms. The crowd was nuts for him - was a long run to seal the win. He blew through the line and secondary untouched - looked very fast out there.

From ESPN.com this morning:

Cowboys made the right Choice: With starting running back Marion Barber still being bothered by a right toe injury, rookie Tashard Choice had another big game. Phillips joked that the Cowboys didn't take Choice high enough in the draft (the fourth round).
Choice finished with 91 yards rushing while the rest of the team had nine. He accounted for 93 yards in the fourth quarter and the rest of the offense had 27. He's shown the ability to run through tackles, but it's his speed in the open field that's been the most impressive.
The Cowboys' offensive line doesn't have to stay with their blocks as long because Choice hits the hole so quickly. It looks like the Cowboys could have their own version of the Giants' Earth, Wind and Fire once Felix Jones returns from injury next season.

I love Choice but I really hope he gets traded during the offseason. I am not a fan of the cowboys. Especially now that the Falcons are competing for a playoff spot.

I am just not a fan of him being the 3rd string back. I think that he is certainly taking advantage of his opportunities right now, and some other team will come calling for him...

Get used to 2nd and 3rd string NFL running backs having a more prominent role in the NFL. It's a pain in the ass for fantasy owners but it is best for the players and the teams they play for.

There are very few Adrian Petersons out there (guys that are every down backs) and the trend continues to move away from have one RB getting all of the carries.

Heck, in Atlanta, we have an every down back in Turner yet we still use Norwood a good bit. Even in Minnesota with AD, Chester Taylor gets used often. Not to mention that he may be the best backup RB in the NFL because he can be every down.

Good for Choice but it stinks that the Giants dropped this game to Dallas. The Falcons are in a fight for the wildcard and Dallas is in the way. Big game against the Vikings in Minnesota this weekend.

Loved the T-C celebration! Maybe one day soon GT will have a top WR and a top RB in the league.

I can't root for TC next week though. And he isn't going to get 90 yards rushing against the Ravens anyway.

Agreed, I love Tashard, but you either with us or against us (Falcons fans that is) and he is on the wrong side of that war. I am proud of the Falcons though, I mean 4 TO's again yesterday and they still won! Unbelievable.

Anyways, a bit off topic from GT football, but anyways,

Go Tech and Go Falcons!

That's what people thought against the Steelers.

Also, to echo ContactBuzz's point, nobody wants their best RB making 350+ touches a season anymore. Just look at Terrell Davis's and Jamal Anderson's falloffs after the 1998 season. That's too much of a pounding. The fact that LT played as well as he did for 7 seasons despite ranking 1-1-3-2-3-3-1 in total touches is a testament to just how good he was. Of course, getting 50+ receptions a year helps that out a bunch too.

Yeah, I am going to be really torn next week. I'm going to have to root for him to do poorly, which sucks. But I guess you have to do what you have to do.

Yeah. Falcons really scraped by yesterday. The thing that really sucks, is that unless Cowboys drop one more game, Falcons won't pick up a wild card position. I don't see the Bucs losing any more. Imagine that. Falcons could go 11-5 and still not get into playoffs. NFC south is too good this year.

He will more than likely trade carries with Barber next year to improve his tradeability as the Cowboys look to trade Barber, Choice or Jones byt he end of the 2009 season. I see Choice either becoming their featured back or a feature in a two back system. He's proven this season he is a bigger threat than Barber.
